We’re really lucky that the Boston Red Sox and Fenway Sports Group organizations are dedicated to utilizing Fenway Park as a venue for great events year round, both baseball and non-baseball related.
This winter, we’ll have several exciting non-baseball events to shoot, and last week, the team announced that extreme skiing and snowboarding would be one of them. Fenway will play host to a Big Air ski and snowboard jump competition. “Big Air At Fenway” will feature a 140-foot high ramp, which is taller than the light towers on top of the Green Monster in left field.
It’s tough to picture it coming together on top of a baseball field, but I’m really excited to shoot this event in February. Here are a few quick photos from the press conference announcement.
