Boston Red Sox Photos: Wade Boggs Has Number Retired.

In ceremonies taking place before the Red Sox-Rockies game last Thursday, the club retired Wade Boggs’s number 26. Boggs helped lead the Red Sox to three postseason berths, including the 1986 American League Championship. The Hall of Famer’s .338 batting average with the Red Sox is second only to Ted Williams, and no one has ever played more games at third base in team history.

Here are some images from the ceremony! It was cool to witness this happen, as I remember watching Boggs play when I was a kid. I tried to work the back drop of the retired number facade as much as possible.
