We’re back at it at Fenway Park! Last night marked the first game of an upcoming 10 game home stand here in Boston. Despite a close loss in a pitcher’s duel to the Baltimore Orioles, there was still much buzz at the Park. It was Jason Varitek bobble head night, and the Captain himself was in attendance during the game. It was also David Ortiz’ 1000th game played in his career at Fenway Park.
In honor of Flag Day, the American flag was dropped over the Green Monster. Additionally, in recognition of the recent shootings in Orlando, the Red Sox honored the victims with a moment of silence, and donated proceeds of the daily 50-50 raffle to the Florida Disaster Fund.
Here are some scenes from a beautiful night at Fenway Park.
