Another season in the books, folks, and what a way to end it! The Sox won in dramatic walk-off fashion as Mookie Betts roared toward home plate to score the game winning run on a ninth inning hit by Rafael Devers. It’s nice that we were able to end on a high.
It wasn’t the season we had all hoped for on the field after last year’s success, but still a great year to be a part of for many reasons. I feel lucky to witness neat things and be a part of some unforgettable experiences every year, even on the down years. We have a great group of players to work with, and an incredibly talented staff of creatives that bring this team and ballpark to life every day.
That’s the end of my eighth season with the Boston Red Sox, and my tenth in Major League Baseball. I’ll have a more thorough recap of the season in my yearly review towards the end of December. For now, I’m excited for a bit of REST.
