Photos: Christmas At Fenway Park.

Here are a few highlights from the annual Christmas at Fenway festivities at Fenway Park. No prize winners here, just a couple of holiday pictures.
Happy Holidays!
Photos: Boston Red Sox Holiday Caravan.

Every year, several Boston Red Sox players and coaches take part in a Holiday Caravan, during which they visit various hospitals and community centers to share some holiday cheer.
This year, infielder Garin Cecchini and pitchers Steven Wright and Heath Hembree were on the caravan, and made stops at six different hospitals: The Jimmy Fund, Boston Children’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Shriners Hospital For Children, Mass General Hospital, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Center. They also visited The Base inner city baseball clinic and the Four Seasons Hotel.
It’s always a great experience spending days on the road with the players. Thanks to Garin, Steven, and Heath, three great guys, for their time and for posing for so many photos over the two days.
It was also nice to have a quick byline in the Boston Herald from the trip.
Photos: Red Sox Foundation Visits Northeastern, Beth Israel.

Here are a few quick photos from the Red Sox Foundation’s visits to Northeastern University and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center last week. At Northeastern, the Foundation was hosting a fundraiser, and entertaining students with the World Series trophies and mascot, Wally.
At Beth Israel, this year’s class of Red Sox Scholars was given a tour of a few wings of the hospital, including the NICU and the Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery.
Photos: Boston Red Sox Sign Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez.

Today, we received the news that the Boston Red Sox acquired former San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval and former Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez. Although things have been very slow around here before Thanksgiving, today was a crazy day for us, filled with two press conferences and a couple different portrait shoots.
Here are a few basic frames from the day. Here and here are links to Facebook galleries with more images to look at. There are also two videos here and here that show myself and some of the other photographers in action. Welcome to Boston Panda and Hanley!
Photos: Boston Red Sox Recognize Mayor Menino Funeral Procession.

Today, thousands of people took to the streets to pay their respects to former Mayor, Thomas Menino, as his funeral procession made its way through the various neighborhoods of Boston.
It’s no secret that the Mayor was an avid fan of the Red Sox, so as the procession passed by Fenway Park, members of the team’s Front Office lined the sides of Yawkey Way and held Red Sox caps over their hearts as a gesture of thanks.
Here is a series of photos from earlier today, as well as a few of my favorite moments with the Mayor at Fenway Park during my three years here.
Photos: Halloween at Fenway Park.

Here is a selection of photos from Halloween at Fenway Park, which brought thousands of guests in yesterday for trick or treating on the field and a movie screening of “Ghostbusters.”
Happy Halloween!
Photos: Drake Britton Makes Halloween Visit To Hospital.

Boston Red Sox pitcher Drake Britton stopped by Boston Children’s Hospital for a special Halloween visit with patients. It was nice to be there to document this surprise visit from Superman.
Photos: Tim Wakefield Tosses Batting Practice.

Today, the Red Sox Foundation showed their appreciation for the sponsors at Heineken by inviting them to a batting practice session with former Boston Red Sox pitcher, Tim Wakefield.
Here are a few quick photos from the afternoon!
Photos: Derek Jeter Plays Last Career Game.

After much fanfare and anticipation, Derek Jeter brought his historic Major League career to a close yesterday, playing his final game as a member of the New York Yankees against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. I’ve been lucky to witness some pretty special moments and ceremonies here in Boston, and this certainly ranks right up there with all of them.
Jeter is one of those figures in sports that are larger than life, alongside the Roger Federers, Tiger Woods, and Michael Jordans of the world. If not always statistically, than with presence and aura alone. I’ll never forget the moment I saw Jeter up close in the dugout for the first time as an intern for the Baltimore Orioles back in 2009, and what’s more, ever since I began watching baseball as a boy, Derek Jeter has been there. What he’s done is truly impressive.
Here are a selection of images from his final weekend.
And just like that, the 2014 regular season is over, bringing to a close my fifth complete season working in Major League Baseball. It’s funny how things can change so quickly. Last year we won the World Series. This year we finished last in the American League East division by 25 games. Needless to say, things were a bit different around here.
But every season is memorable, and there were some great moments and events this year at the park. As a staff, we were able to get some incredible images, and we’re continuing to push the world of multimedia and video to places it hasn’t been before.
After a World Series run followed by all the proceeding festivities followed by another busy season, it’s almost time for a break. Almost! Until then, I’ve got more to come from a place they call “Birdland.”
Photos: MLB Commissioner Bud Selig Visits Fenway Park.

I had the distinct pleasure of trailing Commissioner of Major League Baseball, Bud Selig, as he visited Fenway Park today as the last stop on his farewell tour to ballparks throughout the country. Selig will retire at the conclusion of this season.
What began as a very informative and enjoyable question and answer session with the Boston Red Sox front office turned into a series of stops around the park, highlighted by individual meetings with David Ortiz and Derek Jeter just one day before his last career game.
These are really special moments, and as a baseball fan, I feel lucky to have been able to document them.
I’m looking forward to closing out the 2014 regular season with Derek Jeter’s last career game tomorrow!
