In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, sports at all levels have been cancelled for the foreseeable future. Among the many events was the Boston Red Sox home Opening Day, scheduled for yesterday against the Chicago White Sox. Every year, Red Sox photography staff is into the ballpark early to shoot the sunrise. It has become a welcome tradition for fans and members of the front office alike. Although yesterday’s game was postponed, I was granted special access to be in the ballpark for an hour early in the morning to keep the sunrise photo tradition going. The weather was not ideal for sunrise, but it was important to get the photo regardless. A big thanks to Fenway Park security for getting me the clearance to do this.
