Boston Red Sox: 2022 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.

Here is a recap from this year’s Major League Baseball All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. I was lucky to be able to travel with the three Red Sox representatives – Rafael Devers, Xander Bogaerts, and J.D. Martinez – to document their experience over All-Star week. Before the game, I shot some portraits with J.D. in an old theatre to represent the Hollywood theme of the week.

It was fun to shoot those on film for a change, which sparked a desire to start working with film more again!

Here is a gallery of photos from yesterday’s 2018 MLB All-Star Game at Nationals Park in Washington, DC. This was my third straight year shooting the All-Star Game. It seems to get crazier and crazier each year. The media presence there is massive and the schedule is full. It’s a constant struggle to get in the right position to get the shots you need to get, and overall, it’s just a long few days.

But it’s a really fun few days. It’s always a pleasure catching up with photographers and editors I haven’t seen for awhile, and to work with the people on my team and Red Sox players to put together some great content. Another one down!

J.D. Martinez, Mookie Betts, Mitch Moreland, Chris Sale, and Craig Kimbrel have arrived in Washington, DC for the 2018 All-Star Game. They participated in media availabilities and workouts at Nationals Park after arriving on Sunday night.

Chris Sale pitched two scoreless innings as the starter for the American League in this year’s Major League Baseball All-Star Game. Starting in centerfield, Mookie Betts turned a catch and throw double play, and closer Craig Kimbrel recorded the win after shutting down the National League in the ninth inning.

Here is a gallery of images from the game. It was fun to shoot my second consecutive All-Star Game week! It’s always great to catch up with all of the photographers from across the country that come together to shoot the game. I’m also glad to have seen a new city, and spend some time away from the ballpark with some of my favorite people.

The second half of the season begins now!

Today, Chris Sale was named the starting pitcher for the second year in a row, and all three players worked out with the American League team. Here are some photographs from the day.

It’s been an amazing few days out here in San Diego, California! I’ve been out here at PETCO Park covering the Boston Red Sox representatives at the 2016 Major League Baseball All-Star Game.

I had my hands full, as this was the tenth and final All-Star game for Red Sox designated hitter, David Ortiz. That made for some nice moments. We also had three of our youngest and brightest – shortstop Xander Bogaerts, right fielder Mookie Betts, and center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. – all who made the All-Star starting lineup. It was nonstop shooting for me from the beginning to the end of the day.

This was the first All-Star Game that I’ve shot, and it was a really fun experience for me. It was great to document our team, but also to meet and see all the other photographer and team photographers there covering the game. It’s a reunion, of sorts, for us baseball team photographers.

Here are some images from the day. A big thank you to the Boston Red Sox for making this possible!
