The Boston Red Sox introduced the newest members of the Red Sox Hall of Fame and presented members of the community with the Red Sox Foundation’s “Fenway Honors” award for charitable achievements at the 2018 Red Sox Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Fenway Honors Gala. The event was held at the Westin Copley Hotel.

Former Red Sox players Kevin Youkilis, Derek Lowe, Mike Lowell, and the late John Frank “Buck” Freeman were selected as the 2018 Red Sox Hall of Fame inductees. Alphonso “Al” Green, who has spent the last 44 years working with the Red Sox, was chosen as the non-uniformed inductee.

The Red Sox Hall of Fame also awarded a “Special Achievement” inductee, recognizing the success and accomplishments of a member of the public and the impact they have had on the Red Sox and baseball. The first-ever Special Achievement inductee was Arthur D’Angelo, owner of Twins Enterprises, The Souvenir Store on Jersey Street, and founder of ’47 Brand, a company that produces licensed apparel for Major League Baseball, the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, the National Hockey League, and over 650 colleges.
