Winter is in full swing here in Boston, and with Boston winter comes great college hockey. Yesterday, I bunkered up at TD Garden during an all-day snow storm to shoot the annual Beanpot Hockey Tournament consolation and championship games for Getty Images.
The consolation game was between Northeastern University and Harvard University, and the championship game between Boston College and Boston University.
I don’t shoot a ton of hockey, but these were two particularly action filled, high energy games. After a 35 minute power outage delay at the Garden, the championship game went to overtime following a dramatic three periods of scoreless hockey. Shortly into overtime, BC’s Alex Tuch hit the game winning goal.
After two long games hunched over in a pretzel position to shoot through the hole in the glass, I was pretty exhausted, but I enjoyed the battle. Thanks to Getty Images for having me shoot!
