Stills: High School Football At Fenway Park.

Sharing a few images from regional high school football action during Thanksgiving Week at Fenway Park. It’s always fun to see the field transformed and the passion the kids display for these games. Enjoy the images.

The conversion of the field at Fenway Park has begun in preparation for the upcoming Fenway Gridiron Series presented by Your Call Football. The event will feature a collection of games between the region’s Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and Football Championship Series (FCS) programs, as well as two Boston-area High School Football Thanksgiving rivalry matchups.
Yesterday, the goal post was installed near home plate.

Here are some images from a night session of high school football games at Fenway Park. High school football during Thanksgiving week is a big tradition in the Northeast, so I’m sure it was a thrill for these kids to be playing at a venue like Fenway.
A little different than the Notre Dame/Boston College game the week before!

What a night! Here is a gallery of images from the Shamrock Series Football at Fenway Game between Boston College and Notre Dame. It was the first time football has been played at Fenway Park since 1968.
I was really excited to cover this. I knew it was going to be colorful and high energy, and the night lived up to expectations. The atmosphere was fantastic, and I genuinely had a wonderful time shooting. In my experiences as a photographer, there have been instances while working where everything else happening in life dissappears. You forget about everything that’s going on, and it’s just you and the camera and what’s in front of you. When that happens, it’s bliss, and it happened for me last night. It’s those times that keep you motivated and fresh as a storyteller.
The game was the end product of a lot of hard work by a lot of good people at the Red Sox. Congratulations to everyone involved on a killer event!
This was a perfect way to start my 26th birthday weekend. I’m grateful for all the well-wishes on my birthday today! Thank you to all. It was an awesome year. Here’s to another one.

Here is a selection of my photos from last night’s Football at Fenway match between Liverpool FC and AS Roma. Roma edged out a 1-0 victory over crowd favorite Liverpool, and although there wasn’t much action during the game, the atmosphere around the park was still very high energy.
It was nice to get a look at something different here.

For the first time since 2012, football is back at Fenway Park, as we gear up for Football at Fenway 2014. Liverpool FC will take on AS Roma in a rematch of the friendly match in 2012. Yesterday, the Liverpool squad met with media and took the baseball field turned soccer pitch for a practice session.
The game is tonight, so I’ll be sure to post photos from there tomorrow! It’s hard to believe it’s already been two years since I shot this last.

Here’s a selection of images from Wednesday’s “Football At Fenway” friendly match between Liverpool FC and AS Roma.
Baseball and football don’t normally add up, so it was quite interesting to watch one of the world’s most iconic and historic stadiums go through this huge transformation. I think the park looked really good, and the atmosphere was completely different than it is during a normal baseball game.
I tried to keep that in mind while shooting. From a photographer’s perspective, it was actually very refreshing to have a break from baseball at Fenway Park. I was energized by it, and I roamed every inch of every corner of the stadium to capture the scene.
Coincidentally, I just spent time in England and Italy, so having these two teams in Boston served as a nice reminder dosage of British and Italian sport and culture.
Football At Fenway Park: Liverpool FC practices before Friendly against AS Roma.
Football is back at Fenway Park after a two year hiatus! As part of Fenway’s 100th Anniversary celebrations, Liverpool FC will take on AS Roma in a friendly match on the baseball field turned football pitch tomorrow evening.
Today, Liverpool took a few hours to have a light practice, appear for a few photo ops, and sign autographs for fans.
The fans at the park were amped up today, which has me really excited to shoot tomorrow. The park looks great, so I know the atmosphere will be electric and will make for some good looking, unique images.
Be sure to check back for shots from the game! In the meantime, here are some more images from today, courtesy of the one and only Mike Ivins.
