Yesterday, Fenway Park hosted the 2017 AIG Hurling Classic and Irish Festival. The event featured three 40-minute Hurling matches preceded by a lively Irish festival complete with Irish food, music, and dancing. After two semi-final matches between, Clare defeated Galway in the final match to win this year’s title.

It was nice to shoot a different sport here at Fenway. I was on hand back in 2015 for the first Hurling event, but had fun getting a fresh crack at it. It also helped to have some sunshine and nice light for most of the day. it’s been cold and grey here lately.

Yesterday, Fenway Park hosted the 2017 AIG Hurling Classic and Irish Festival. Here are some images from the AIG Irish Hurling and Irish Festival at Fenway Park yesterday. I’ve never shot the sport of hurling, so wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised.

The game is fast paced and high energy. I’m still not sure if I know the rules, but felt good about some of these photos. 

That caps off a long, busy weekend of shooting at Fenway.
