Boston Red Sox Photos: Sunday, June 15, 2014 vs. Cleveland Indians.

Here are a few photos from the last of a four game series between the Boston Red Sox and the Cleveland Indians. Boston won the first two games of the series, but the Indians were able to win the last two to even the series up.
A new series against Minnesota begins tonight at Fenway Park!

We can’t seem to fully turn the corner into the Summer weather up here in Boston. Nearly the entire week has been cold, wet, and rainy, and yesterday was more of the same. We’re all glad that we escaped a possible double header today and got the game in with no delays – props to the Fenway Park grounds crew, who worked really hard to make sure the game finished on time – but it was still less than ideal conditions to work in.
You have to work with what you have, though, so on days like yesterday, I’m always on the hunt for rain features. That’s mostly what I shot and what I’ve posted here.
Yesterday was also particularly special in that hundreds of residents of Newtown, Connecticut and members of Sandy Hook Elementary School were in attendance at the game in recognition of Connecticut Day at Fenway Park. After the game, they were invited down to the field to take photos and interact with players and coaches from both the Red Sox and the Cleveland Indians. I’ve included three photos from the event above as well.
I’m at the park now for another game today!
Boston Red Sox Photos: Opening Day 2013.
It’s hard to believe time has passed so quickly, but yesterday marked the start of my fourth season working as a photographer in Major League Baseball.
I always love Opening Day, and yesterday at Fenway Park was no exception. We caught a break from the freezing cold that we’ve had up here in Boston, and had a beautiful, sunny, warm afternoon to work in. That, along with all the other familiar sights and sounds that make baseball so perfect, was rejuvenating to say the least.
It made for a long day, beginning with a 5:00 A.M. arrival at the ballpark and ending with night class and a few hours of editing in the lab at Boston University, but a great day nonetheless.
Here are some images I made from the pre-game ceremonies and the general scene around Fenway. I threw in a bit of orange and black as well.
It was fantastic to see all the Boston photographers back in the same place, and a pleasure to meet some new ones. Plus, the Red Sox took on my hometown heroes, the Baltimore Orioles.
My two favorite teams and a fresh start. A dream come true for this guy.
Here’s to another season!
Photos: Fenway Park Prepped for Opening Day 2013.
With the Boston Red Sox 2013 home opener just a day away, I decided to put together a quick post of the prep work I’ve been shooting at Fenway Park over the past several weeks.
It’s been a long, cold winter in Boston, but the forecast calls for a warm, sunny day tomorrow.
I’ll be at the Park before the sun rises. Be sure to check back for Opening Day photos!

It’s hard to believe, but last night was the last home game for the Boston Red Sox this year, bringing an end to the commemorative 100th anniversary season of Fenway Park.
It hasn’t quite sunk in for me yet that the season is over. You get in such a routine with this job, and spend so much time at the stadium, that it takes a few days off to realize that it’s actually over.
The game was lackluster, and ended in a Red Sox loss. So, here is an assortment of images from the last game.
I’m not going to share all my thoughts about my work this season here just yet. I’ll save that for later. I’m hOOOOOOping that there’s more baseball still to come…
