Season 2023 Campaign: Boston Red Sox Content Week.

I’m excited to share the results from the 2023 Boston Red Sox season campaign. With collaboration from our talented team and outside vendors, I led production for a week long content gathering shoot with the entire roster of players and coaches. Utilizing a 26 foot curved LED wall, customized graphics and animations, and an array of lights, we produced video clips and still images used for a variety of needs including in-park videos, looping GIFs for social media, images for print and advertising ,and more.

This was just one of four sets our players participated in, and I’m proud to have played a part in producing the Red Sox largest production to date.

Portraits: Home Run King Aaron Judge For Franklin Sports.

Sharing recent commercial portrait work with American League home run king, Aaron Judge, shot on location in 2022 for Franklin Sports.

A big thanks to Franklin for the call to shoot with the face of Major League Baseball.

Portraits: Boston College Men’s And Women’s Basketball 2020 Photo Day.

I was back at Boston College to shoot another year of portraits of their 2020 Men’s and Women’s basketball teams. These two looks were shot simultaneously on two separate lighting setups with six lights used in total. The clean white look offers a simple portrait that can stand alone as an image or be used for graphic cutouts, and the maroon and gold setups provide a secondary creative option.

A huge thanks to BC athletics for having me shoot these!

Boston Red Sox Photos: Portraits At Boston Baseball Writers Dinner.

Here is a set of portraits I shot last week during the annual Boston Baseball Writers Awards dinner at the Seaport Hotel in Boston. Xander Bogaerts, Triston Casas, Rafael Devers, and Michael Chavis all killed it with the fits and posing! I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to have multiple players together in the same place for the first time since last season ended. With help of the hotel staff and event coordinators, we were able to secure a room to set up a miniature stage for the portraits. We arrived on site a few hours early, and after several rounds of testing and tweaking, were able to get to a point we felt good about.

These portraits are executed with a three light set up, some seamless paper, and a few props to achieve the stylized, colorful look. I’m aiming to use event opportunities like this to shoot more portraits this year, so this was a good test run in working toward that new model. Thanks to our players for their time, to our PR staff for the assist in getting them there, and to our staff photographer Maddie Malhotra for the set up and break down help!

On to the next look.

Portraits: Boston College Women’s Basketball 2019 Photo Day.

I was contracted by Boston College Athletics to shoot portraits of the 2019 Women’s Basketball roster of players, coaches, and staff, as well as their official team photo, for their 2019 photo day. I shot these portraits simultaneously on two setups, a black and a white, with a total of five lights. Running two portrait stations at once is no easy task, but I was able to draw on past experience and execute some simple but effective portraits.

A huge thanks to BC for having me shoot these!

Photo: Oren, Adelson family attends Birthright Israel event at Washington’s Newseum.

"Michael Oren (center), Israeli Ambassador to the United States, poses with philanthropists Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson during a Birthright Israel event at the Newseum in Washington, DC Tuesday, November 29, 2011."

Any time I get to cover an event related to Birthright Israel, I’m overjoyed. My experience in Israel was like none other in my life, so I jump at any opportunity that I know will bring me back to that trip.

This was the latest of that type, a fundraising event at the Newseum in Washington, DC. (The Newseum, home to an exhibit full of Pulitzer Prize winning photographs, is of course, my favorite museum out there).

This was a wonderful event, and, as a Birthright alum who had an incredible ten days in Israel at zero cost, it was interesting to witness what actually goes into making that gift possible for myself and thousands of others around the world.

I was in great company, as well. Here’s a photo of the Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson, who have donated over $100 million to Birthright Israel since 2007, posing with Michael Oren, the Israeli Ambassador to the United States.

It will certainly be a nice addition to the Philanthropy and Foreign Policy portfolios.
