For the most recent episode of new YouTube show “Some Good News,” actor and Massachusetts native John Krasinski partnered with the Boston Red Sox to deliver the surprise of a life time to healthcare workers in Boston.
Krasinski surprised medical staff of a COVID-19 unit at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with a video message from Red Sox legend David Ortiz and four free Red Sox tickets for life.
The staffers then got to ride on a specially commissioned Duck Boat to an empty Fenway Park, where they threw out a ceremonial first pitch, ran the bases, posed for pictures, and received special scoreboard video messages from Red Sox players, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, and Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker.
The episode of “Some Good News” is embedded above, and a gallery of photos from the special trip to Fenway Park is below. It was a surreal experience to be inside the ballpark to shoot this. Proud of our Red Sox crew for always stepping up to the challenge and delivering the content when it’s needed.
