Boston Red Sox: Final Game Of 2022 Season.

The 2022 Major League Baseball regular season has come to a close. The Red Sox played their final game of the year yesterday in a rainy cold Fenway. The year ended on a high note with a win and series sweep, and several emotional moments after a frustrating year on the field.

This wraps my eleventh season with the Boston Red Sox. I’ll have more to say later, but I’m feeling proud of the work our team was able to do despite challenging circumstances this year. We press on!

Boston Red Sox: Thursday, July 28, 2022 Vs. Cleveland Guardians.

Boston Red Sox: Wednesday, May 18, 2022 Vs. Houston Astros.

A rare 6:05PM early start had me inspired to shoot from everywhere the light was for this game against the Astros. Before the game, I experimented with the Fuji GFX 50S medium format sensor camera to shoot some portraits of our guys. Once we got through golden hour, Nick Pivetta pitched a complete game shutout, which felt like the first key moment of the season so far.

On to the ALCS, and back in Houston – a place I have become very familiar with over the years after many trips here for postseason runs. Always an intimidating place to play, but a great baseball atmosphere. Here are some selects from Game 1 – an Astros win.

Another win tonight in the second to last home game of the season. I took a little stroll outside to take in the strange emptiness during game time. It’s such a stark contrast to the usual hustle in the neighborhood during game time. It’s a really weird time to be working.

A bittersweet day here as veteran first baseman Mitch Moreland was traded to the San Diego Padres right before the game. Sad to see him go – one of the good ones! On the bright side, Bobby Dalbec hit a home run in his Major League debut andwe got a win on a beautiful Sunday.
