Photos: 2015 Boston Red Sox Opening Day.

Baseball is back in Boston! Yesterday was a long, busy day for the Red Sox photography department, but also a day filled with amazing photo opportunities.

The Red Sox paid tribute to the New England Patriots, who won their fourth Super Bowl this year. Quarterback Tom Brady, Head Coach Bill Belichick, Team President Jonathan Kraft, and Team Owner Robert Kraft were introduced on field. The Red Sox also inducted ALS Survivor Pete Frates as an official member of the team, and recognized local kids as part of the new Calling All Kids initiative.

During the game, it was the Mookie Betts show, as he hits a three-run home run, robbed a home run in center field, and displayed some heads up base running. An exciting pre-game ceremony and a 9-4 Red Sox win made for a great start to the season!

I’ll be sure to post often as the season goes on – my fourth for the Red Sox, sixth for MLB, and first as a full-time Staff Photographer.
